Our Warranty
The Dawsons Warranty is not transferable and is valid only for the original purchaser (“you”).
Your product must have been purchased from Dawsons Australia (“our”, “we” or “us”) from our online shop at https://www.dawsonsmusic.com.au
The Dawsons Warranty is valid for one (1) year from the date of purchase (“Warranty Period”) and only in Australia, except for the following brands and product categories, which are covered as listed below:

Behringer, Bugera, Klark Teknik, Lab Gruppen, Tannoy, TC Electronic, TC Helicon, Turbosound, and Aston Microphones - 3 years (Only eligible by registering on https://community.musictribe.com/support within 90 days of purchase; if not, the warranty will only be eligible for 1 year)
When making a warranty claim, you must comply with the warranty claims procedure and present the original purchase receipt upon our request.
Coverage of Dawsons Warranty
The Dawsons Warranty covers defects in material and workmanship under everyday use and includes parts and labour. At our sole and absolute discretion, we will replace or repair the defective product or parts (with comparable and/or refurbished parts). Any product or part replaced shall become our property.
Exclusions from Dawsons Warranty
The Dawsons Warranty does not cover:
- Damage Due to Misuse or Negligence Damage resulting from misuse, abuse, or neglect of the product. Improper handling, exposure to extreme temperatures or humidity. Failure to follow the operational guidelines provided by the manufacturer. Over-exposure to excessive humidity, temperature, or sunlight. Failure to keep the product in a safe and proper environment.
- Unauthorised Repairs or Modifications Any repairs or modifications performed by individuals or entities not authorised by the manufacturer. Alterations to internal circuitry, unauthorised component replacements, or modifications to product design or functionality.
- Normal Wear and Tear Components subject to normal wear and tear, such as guitar strings, drum pads, or digital piano keys. Discoloration, fading, or damage to the original finish. Worn frets, strings, tuners, jacks, switches, pickups, corrosion, or rusting of hardware and plating. Vacuum tubes are covered under a limited 90-day warranty.
- Cosmetic Damage Scratches, dents, or other forms of cosmetic wear.
- Subjective Judgment Defects involving subjective opinions regarding the product’s characteristics. Complaints regarding wood grain patterns, color variations, or other aesthetic elements.
- Inadequate Ventilation or Overheating Damage caused by inadequate ventilation or overheating of digital pianos, digital drums, amplifiers, or other electronic devices.
- Power Surge or Electrical Issues Damage resulting from power surges, electrical outages, or improper power supply connections. Products must be connected to a suitable power source and protected by a surge protector.
- Improper Use of Accessories Issues arising from the use of accessories or external equipment not provided or recommended by the manufacturer.
- Use Outside of Intended Purpose Damage or malfunction resulting from using the product for purposes other than those intended by the manufacturer. Professional use of products designed for personal or recreational use.
- Third-Party Parts Damage caused by the use of third-party parts, accessories, or components not approved by the manufacturer.
- Used Gear Products Products purchased under Used Gear do not qualify for the Dawsons Warranty. (For Used Gear Warranty, refer to the section below.) Warranty Claim Process In all cases, our technician will assess the instrument/product to determine if it is eligible for a warranty claim. If the defect or damage is determined to fall within the above exclusions, the warranty claim will be invalid and rejected. All our technicians' decisions will be final, conclusive, and binding on you.
All and any incidental charges, such as consumables, shipping, or delivery fees to and from us, will be borne by you.
Refund Policy
We are unable to process cash refunds for any portion of the payment made using vouchers issued by external parties.
Governing Law
These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed under the laws of Australia.
Items Damaged In Transit
Remember to inspect all items and ensure you are completely satisfied that your package has arrived in good condition. If you believe your item(s) have been damaged in transit, please contact us within 24 hours to let us know. We reserve the right to reject a return if we are not notified within 24 hours.
